If students are to be successful in their transition to higher education and employment they need to be equipped with a range of skills that go beyond academic study.
We prepare our students with have the technical and soft skills for entering the workforce or further education. Our students will be more desirable to businesses and Higher Education establishments because they’ve also developed a strong work ethic and critical thinking skills.
Our strong industry links with employers and industry specialists means that our students will gain far greater employability. They will develop their skills, behaviour and knowledge through adaptable and exciting courses / activities that will prepare and get them ready for the world of work within the industry.

SUPPORTING YOUR FUTURE THROUGH ENRICHMENT
Our Enrichment Programme will provide students with opportunities to develop skills such as creativity, initiative, enterprise and leadership through a range of activities, as well as provide them with an enriched Curriculum Vitae. Students may work alongside other members of the community in a range of coaching, health and fitness roles, which will benefit them considerably when applying for university, apprenticeships and any future career.
Students apply to take on positions of responsibility within the centres which include taking part in presentations on open evenings, assemblies and promoting/delivering activities.
If students are to be successful in their transition to Higher Education and/or Employment they need to be equipped with a range knowledge and experience.
As well as excellent teaching we can also offer a range of opportunities and work experience placements which will enhance applications for university, apprenticeships or employment.

BTEC Level 3
SPORTS & EXERCISE SCIENCE
This course is designed for anyone 16+ with an interest in football, looking to gain a qualification and employment within the Football industry. This can lead to a career as a Player or in other areas of the industry such as: Sports Rehabilitation, Nutrition, Coaching, Strength and Conditioning, Refereeing or onto a Higher Education Course/Degree. This course will give participants the knowledge and skills that underpin the study of the sport of exercise science sector, with a key focus on football, preparing them for further study or entry into the football industry.
BTEC Level 2
This course is designed for anyone 16+ with a keen interest in football, looking to follow an exciting career in the football industry. This course will provide the opportunity to develop a range of practical skills, techniques and attributes that are essential for a successful career in a range of different roles such as; Player, Coach, Physiotherapist, Referee and more!

How will these courses develop my football skills?
As part of the Parklife projects located at the St. George’s education sites, the football programmes are headlined and delivered by highly qualified ex-professional footballers. The coach’s aims are to develop the student’s life skills, but most importantly develop the players to give them the opportunity to succeed in a Semi Professional/Professional football team. Students will gain these opportunities through showcase games organised by the coaches to compete against Professional Academies. In addition to the showcase games, the students and players will compete in trial games in front of leading national and international scouts. Throughout the course the coaches will use their industry knowledge and experience to show the students what pressures there are with being a professional footballer by highlighting factors for preparation of a game, types of training the correct diet to consume pre and post football matches.
